November 17, 2013: Wedding and the Beginning of Many Great Adventures
Wedding: The Beginning of Many Great
Adventures
November 17th, 2013 dawned bright and sunny in Yosemite National Park. Boobies was hoping for a snow blanketed wedding day with all of the trees in their “wedding dresses” for solidarity. The weather may not have cooperated as initially desired, but instead was a brisk sunny day that allowed for the wedding party to troop through meadows, stroll past river beds, and trek to granite monoliths for pictures with minimal discomfort.
The ceremony and reception flew by with good times, great food, and amazing wine. Forty-eight guests made for a very intimate evening with love and support from all in attendance. We could not have asked for a better day, and truly appreciate all of the people who made the trip to our favorite place on Earth.

October 30, 2013: Boston Wins the World Series
The Hubster and I came up with the BRILLIANT idea that we would travel to the previous year's World Series Championship city on our anniversary every year. This allows us to see new places in the US (and Canada), gives us a year (or more) to plan, and pays homage to the most important sport in the world BASEBALL. It also helps the Hubster and I have an interest and even a stake in a World Series match-up that may seem un-interesting or painful if one of our favorite teams missed the opportunity at the Fall Classic.
A few rules of course:
1) We will not celebrate our anniversary in the same city more than once.
2) If a repeat World Series winner occurs starting with the year 2013, then an alternate destination will be determined by the Hubster abroad.
I have to admit, having come up with this "new tradition" I am happy not to be traveling to St. Louis next year, as Boston seems to be a much more exciting destination.
